One of the most anticipated bouts for BAMMA 17 in Manchester is no longer as Kane Mousah has been forced to withdraw from his lightweight clash against Marc Diakiese due to a crucial ligament injury to his knee. BAMMA officials have confirmed that a replacement is currently being sought.

Mousah (6-0) most recently fought at FCC 11 where he defeated Hayden Critchfield via rear naked choke in round number one. The first round has been something of a trademark for the rough house lightweight as he racked up four straight first round finishes whilst fighting on FCC.

Diakiese is also unbeaten, holding a 5-0 record. He last fought at BAMMA 16 defeating Jefferson George via Unanimous Decision.

With both fighters being highly touted prospects, it's no surprise that this bout was one of the most anticipated on the card.

When the news broke tonight, Mousah called for the bout with Diakiese to be re scheduled for BAMMA 19 in Blackpool on March 28th.

"Marc Diakiese, you need to stay focused and sharp- otherwise I'm gonna hurt you real bad"
