Shinya Aoki Added to Inoki Bom-Ba-Ye 2014

Shinya Aoki will be fighting on New Years Eve for the 9th time in his career when he takes on Yuki Yamamoto at Inoki Bom-Ba Ye 2014. IGF held a press conference earlier in the week in Tokyo to officially announce the participation of the current ONE FC lightweight champion.
Inoki Bom-Ba Ye 2014 takes place December 31st, at Ryogoku Kokugikan, in Tokyo, Japan. The Event is headlined by a rematch between Mirko Cro Cop and Satoshi Ishii, and features a mix of MMA bouts and Pro Wrestling match ups.
A legend in Japanese MMA Aoki fights for just the second time in 2014, with his only previous bout this year being against Kamal Shalorus at ONE FC 19 - Reign of Champions where Aoki won the promotions lightweight title. Widely considered one of the best submission artists in MMA, Aoki brings a 36-6 record with 24 submission victories into the the bout with notable victories over Antonio McKee, Rob McCullough, Rich Clementi, Eddie Alvarez, Caol Uno and more. Currently ridding a 6-fight win streak, Aoki fights on New Years Eve for the 9th time in his 11 year career, and have yet to lose on the date.
Fighting out Paraestra Chiba Gym, Yamamoto fights for the 16th time in his career, having a massed a 6-6-3 record. A dynamic striker, the 26-year old began his career with ZST before moving to Grachan where he picked up the biggest win of his career knocking out Toshikatsu Harada in the first round at Grachan 12. In all 6 of his career wins, Yamamoto has never been the distance stopping all his opponents by TKO / KO.
