Kevin Casey Out of Metamoris 5, Promotion Offers 10K to Anyone Who Can Submit Vinny Magalhaes

Metamoris founder Ralek Gracie appeared on the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani earlier today to announce that Kevin Casey would no longer fight Vinny Magalhaes at Metamoris 5 this Saturday. The UFC middleweight who is currently serving a one year suspension due a to failed a post-fight drug test where he tested positive for drostanolone, a form of anabolic steroid, has been forced to pull out of the card due to emergency surgery for a blood clot.

Instead of going the conventional route and finding a replacement for Casey, Gracie has now offered $10,000 for anyone who can submit Magalhaes in a 20 minute grappling match, with all black belts considered:

"You basically have to have a black belt in jiu-jitsu. If you don’t have a black belt in jiu-jitsu, but you’re like a really solid judo guy, or sambo, or something like that, and you have a black belt in that art, that works. But we’re open to anybody." Gracie told Helwani. "If you can beat Vinny Magalhaes, we’re putting $10,000 on the line."

"If you lose or draw, you won’t get paid the $10,000."
